About Thamsyn Newton
Thamsyn Michelle Moupia Newton comes from a town called Paraparaumu, which is situated in the south-western North Island of New Zealand. It is 55 kilometers from Wellington and that is where Newton started her career as a right-arm medium pacer, playing for Wellington Blaze in the State League.
However, she soon switched to Canterbury Magicians in search of more opportunities and within two years of her move, Newton made her debut for New Zealand in a T20I game against Sri Lanka.
